Brandon Conley’s heavy hands swing Saturday in LA

Brandon Conley comes by his nickname — “Stronghold” — honestly.

The heavy-handed cruiserweight contender does strength training five days a week and in 2018 he set a new world record by bench pressing 225 pounds 60 times.

Conley’s heavy hands sent his opponent, Donnie Tice Jr., to the canvas five times in his Squared Circle debut at BKFC 63 in August.

“My punching power is a God-given gift, and it’s always been a huge advantage that I’ve had over almost everybody that I’ve fought,” the Chillicothe, OH product says.

“I have the ability to put anybody to sleep with one shot if it lands clean.”

That’s what Conley predicts will happen on Saturday when he takes on Keith Richardson (2-0) at BKFC Fight Night: Los Angeles at the legendary Thunder Studios, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App.

“He’s going to sleep,” Conley says. “Definitely.”

Conley is eager to put an exclamation point on his rookie campaign with BKFC and tee up a breakout 2025 in the Squared Circle.

“Saturday can’t come soon enough,” he says.

“I can’t wait to get this win, enjoy the holidays with my family, and get ready to make my run in 2025. I’m ready to make a run at the title at 205 or 185 — wherever the biggest opportunity is that makes me the most money.”
