Taylor “Killa Bee” Starling is letting her fists fly at KnuckleMania V.
The fan-favorite Starling is gunning for her fifth BKFC victory against Bec Rawlings at the star-studded event on Jan. 25 at Wells Fargo Center in BKFC’s long-awaited, highly anticipated debut in its hometown of Philadelphia.
KnuckleMania V, streamed LIVE globally on DAZN, will be the biggest event in BKFC history — a fact that isn’t lost on the 28-year-old Starling, who proudly calls Philadelphia her second hometown.
“I can’t wait,” Starling says.
“I’m going to have so many friends and family at this event, and this is such a historic moment for BKFC. This is where BKFC started, and it’s coming home. And, one thing about Philly — that’s a town that’s unshakable in its convictions. If they’re down with you, it feels like the whole world is behind you, and I’ve got the whole world behind me for this fight at Wells Fargo.
“That’s going to be my house on Jan. 25.”
Starling is eager to make a statement against Rawlings, a two-time BKFC World Championship challenger.
“A highlight-reel finish would mean everything to me, but I’m always ready for war, and I think this fight is going to be a war,” Starling says. “I’ve been labelled as a fighter who just goes out there and battles for five rounds, but a finish is definitely what I want, and what I’m looking for.”
Starling hopes a big win at KnuckleMania V helps pave the way for a rematch with BKFC World Strawweight Champion Britain Hart. Starling and Hart clashed for the crown in August in a five-round, Fight-of-the-Year candidate at BKFC 63 in Sturgis, SD.
“I really want to run that fight back,” Starling says when asked about her goals for the New Year. “WIth all due respect — Britain and I are cool — I just think what we did in Sturgis was so awesome that it’s definitely a fight that the fans want to see again.”
