Roberto Armas fights for the fans

Roberto Armas doesn’t care that his 3-3 record doesn’t jump off the page. He knows that his name stands out on even the most stacked bout sheets.

The United States Air Force vet is loved by BKFC fans around the world because he doesn’t turn down any challenges and is seemingly allergic to boring fights. Saturday’s BKFC on DAZN: Montana is one of the biggest events of the year, and fans are saying Armas’ bout with Louie Lopez has “Fight of the Night” written all over it.

“I think this is a matchup that should excite everybody,” the San Benito, TX product says ahead of his matchup with Lopez, a former BKFC World Featherweight Championship challenger.

“I’ve heard that (this could be Fight of the Night) from a lot of people, so that’s what excites me.”

Armas is eager to rack up his second straight victory Saturday. More importantly, he just wants to put fans on the edge of their seats.

“(Wins and losses) sometimes don’t matter as much to me as other people. I put in the work and I go in there to come out victorious. But, at the end of the day, life is about more than winning and losing in the ring. I’ve got a lot going for me, so ultimately the biggest reason I do this is to put on a show,” Armas says.

“If you look back at the earlier days of the UFC and you think about who you tuned in to watch, you hardly remember who the champions were at the time,” he adds. “You remember certain fighters because of the unforgettable fights that they put on.”
