BYB Extreme Bare Knuckle Fighting Series returns to Denver’s Stockyards Event Center September 21 for BYB 31 Stockyard Brawl. Headlining the card will be a rematch for the BYB Lightweight championship between champion Julio Tanori (3-0, 2 KOs) and former champion Mark “The Shark” Irwin (3-1, 2 KOs). The pair put on a show-stopping performance last December at the same venue in what was awarded not only the BYB 22 Fight of the Night, but was honored by the Bare Knuckle Boxing Hall of Fame’s 2023 Fight of the Year. In that fight, Tanori bested Irwin by 6-round majority decision and, in turn, at 21 became the youngest active world champion in both boxing and bare knuckle.
Since that fateful night, Irwin has dedicated himself to one thing: taking back what he believes is rightfully his. He’s no stranger to hard work. Behind the showmanship, the flashy entrances, and the confident smile lies a man willing to do whatever it takes to rise again. “Because I am the baddest man on the mother f ing planet.” Every punch thrown, every drill completed. Every moment of sweat is a reminder that the belt was once his. And he’s determined to claim it again.
