It’s safe to say that Zac Cavender will be back in the BKFC Squared Circle.
“I’m better at this than I thought I’d be,” he says with a chuckle after his 53-second knockout victory over Conor Bracken in his recent promotional debut at BKFC 65 at the sold-out Maverik Center in Salt Lake City, UT.
“Watching the fight again, I did really well in there with BKFC’s unique rule set. I utilize kicks so much in MMA, but it felt really natural in there.”
Cavender had eight professional MMA bouts before his BKFC debut. It’s still early, but the 30-year-old Las Vegas cruiserweight says bare knuckle fighting is a better fit for him than MMA.
“Absolutely,” he agrees.
“I like the style, I like the ring setup. I’m not afraid to get hit – I get more motivated when I see blood. It’s fun, it’s exciting, and I really like the promotion.”
Cavender has big goals with BKFC.
“Those belts look pretty cool,” he says with a smile.
“I have a 100-percent finish rate in MMA, and that’s what I want to do with BKFC – finish all my opponents and eventually get the belt.”
