The BKFC World Bantamweight Title is on the line at BKFC 66 on Friday at the iconic Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL. We checked in with some of BKFC’s most savvy fighters to see if they’re picking the champ Alberto “El Indio” Blas (5-0) or challenger “Royal” Ryan Reber (6-0) in this must-see BKFC World Title bout, LIVE globally on The BKFC App.
Zach “Shark Attack” Calmus: Blas, with four straight, first-round finishes, is a monster and will be a challenge for any man in the division. Across the ring stands Reber, who’s 6-0 and has overcome all adversity and challenges. Blas has come to face a CT native who has made a full life for himself in Florida. I don’t think any challenger is too much for Ryan. I’ve seen him overcome all kinds of styles in his fight game and reign supreme. Champion of the world, Ryan Reber.
Noah Cutter: I’m picking Reber for this fight, but it won’t be easy for him. Hard-fought, five-round decision.
Ramiro Figueroa: Both are great fighters, but I’d have to take Blas in this fight, just because he’s a titleholder and I believe he has a different type of drive and boxing ability in him to come out victorious. Not taking anything away from Reber as he is a tough fighter as well, I just think that IQ will be a little different coming from Blas.
Michael “Papa G” Larrimore: I think we see a back-and-forth fight for the first two or three rounds. I believe the longer the fight goes, the more it’ll favor my brother Ryan. I believe we see Ryan get that belt he’s worked so hard for, via UD.
Wanya “The Rated R Superstar” Reid: I like Reber and I think he’s a great BKFC fighter and has shown he’s durable and can also get up and win a fight, but I’m going with Blas in this. Blas has shown to have great power, speed and he dethroned the champ in under one round.
Esteban “Mohawk” Rodriguez: I believe Reber is coming out with the knockout, with his forward pressure
Gabrielle “Jersey’s Warrior Princess” Roman: I’m picking Reber.
JR “The Lion” Ridge: Blas is an exceptional fighter, but Reber is destined to be champ. I’ve seen the work he’s put in this entire camp and sparred many rounds with him, and Ryan is ready. “Royal” Reber, third-round stoppage win.
Zeb “CWB” Vincent: I’m going with Blas. I believe he’s a better fighter all around. This is BKFC and one shot can change a fight, so we’ll see, but the CWB says Blas takes home the W.
Ruben “Bad Boy” Warr: Blas is very technical, but Reber is a dog. I would like to see Reber upset Blas and make it a dog fight.
