Red-hot Justin Ibarrola looks to make it 5-for-5 at BKFC 66

Justin Ibarrola is on a roll.

The unbeaten bantamweight has jumped out to a 4-0 start in his BKFC career. In 18 months the 26-year-old Delray Beach, FL product has broken through from fresh-faced rookie to the No. 3 contender in the stacked BKFC bantamweight division.

Ibarrola is undefeated, but it hasn’t been easy.

“I had never been hit in the face with a bare knuckle before my BKFC debut. It’s a little nerve wracking getting hit in the face bare knuckle for the first time in your life after 25 years of living,” Ibarrola says with a laugh.

“I believed in my skill as a boxer, but it was still a little nerve wracking to get in there. Since I’ve been trusting my instincts, everything else has been falling into place.”

On Friday at BKFC 66, he’ll be hunting for his third straight stoppage victory against Justin “The Nightmare” Street (1-0, 1 KO) at the iconic Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App.

Ibarrola will be watching Friday’s Main Event intently as Alberto “El Indio” Blas (5-0, 5 KO) defends his BKFC World Bantamweight Championship for the first time against “Royal” Ryan Reber (6-0, 4 KO).

Ibarrola certainly sees himself with the belt in the future, but he’s just rolling with the punches.

“I’m just staying patient. Whatever (BKFC President) David Feldman wants us to do, that’s what we’re going to do,” he says.

“No matter who I’m in the ring with, I’m going to keep on doing what I’m doing, and that is winning. There’s no rush.”
