Tommy Strydom is used to taking his show on the road.
The native South African has competed across Africa, Europe, and the United States. He returns to action Saturday in the United Kingdom at BKFC Fight Night: Newcastle at the famed Walker Activity Dome in Newcastle, England.
Regardless of the location, it’s business as usual for Strydom.
“It’s definitely nice to see new places, but I really usually stick to myself on fight week and focus on the fight instead of taking in the sights,” he says.
“It’s nice to travel, but I know that I have a job to do, and that’s always my first priority.”
It’s hard to argue with Strydom’s approach; it’s led him to an unblemished 3-0 record in the BKFC Squared Circle. He’s hunting for a third stoppage victory on Saturday against John Spencer.
Strydom hopes a fourth straight win with BKFC will land him the next shot at undisputed BKFC World Featherweight Champion Kai Stewart.
“I’m not sure what the future holds for me, but I’m doing everything I can to make my title shot undeniable.”
