Donald Sanchez hunts for his 4th straight win in Albuquerque

Donald Sanchez is ready to make 2025 his breakout year in the BKFC Squared Circle.

Sanchez has paved his way to the spotlight with three straight wins heading into his Co-Main Event showdown with Harrison Aiken at BKFC Fight Night: Albuquerque on Feb. 28 at the famed Kiva Auditorium in Sanchez’s hometown of Albuquerque, NM, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App.

“I’m getting the knockout,” Sanchez says on the eve of his fifth trip to the Squared Circle. “I’m definitely going out there to make another statement.”

The battle-tested Sanchez should serve as an inspiration to many of his peers on the BKFC roster. Many fighters never find their footing in the Squared Circle after falling short in their bare knuckle debut. Sanchez, meanwhile, has rebounded with a trio of statement wins since dropping his BKFC debut to Jeremy Smith in 2022.

“I talk to Jeremy and thank him almost every day for that loss,” Sanchez says. “I took so much away from my debut, and it definitely set in motion my current winning streak.”

Sanchez, who’s also a veteran of 50 professional MMA bouts, isn’t done yet.

He hopes a third straight highlight-reel finish later this month grants him the next shot at David “Redneck” Mundell, the undisputed BKFC World Middleweight Champion.

“I’m getting that belt for sure,” Sanchez says when asked about his aspirations for 2025.

“That’s the goal that I’ve set for myself, and I’m a man of my word.”
